Supporting the Retention of School Leaders through Effective Pregnancy and Maternity Support
Nationally, there is a significant gender pay gap of 18.4% and a recruitment and retention crisis, with around 12% of teachers leaving the profession in 2015-16. Clearly, we need to keep our very best teachers and leaders in the profession through effective, timely support at key moments in their career.
This support is targeted at female school leaders and the school leaders of tomorrow who are either pregnant or
currently on maternity leave in any Lancashire or West Yorkshire school.
